Chapter 5, Lab 1

Objectives of the lab:

  1. Understand the differences between movie animation and interactive animation.
  2. Understand the basic concepts of event handling in interactive animation.

 

1.    The following exercises at the end of chapter 5 of the textbook are to be completed and saved to your I: drive or on your thumb drive in the directory called 2390LastNameChap5Lab1 (where LastName is your last name).  You are encouraged to work on these programs outside of the lab.  All programs must be submitted to the dropbox in the appropriate directory. 

  1. Complete Exercise 2, Flight Simulator – Alternate Version.  Save the program as Chap5Exer2.a2w.
  2. Complete Exercise 3, Robot Remote Control.  Save the program as Chap5Exer3.a2w.
  3. Complete Exercise 8. The Cheshire Cat.  Save the program as Chap5Exer8.a2w. 

 

2.    Answer the questions found on this Chapter 5 Lab 1 document in your own words.  Right click on this link, select “Save Target As” (if you’re using Internet Explorer.  If you’re using some other browser, select the corresponding action), and save the document, using the default name shown, to the 2390LastNameChap5Lab1 directory on the I: drive or on your thumb drive.  Open the document in Word and answer the questions.  Make sure to save your work.

 

1.    To receive full credit for this lab, follow the directions in the dropbox instructions.  The directory into which you will place the document(s) for this lab should be named 2390LastNameChap5Lab1 where LastName is your last name.  This directory that you will place in the dropbox should contain the following documents:

  1. The program for the first exercise saved as Chap5Exer2.a2w.
  2. The program for the second exercise saved as Chap5Exer3.a2w.
  3. The program for the third exercise saved as Chap5Exer8.a2w
  4. The completed “Concept Questions” document from part 2 saved as “Ch05Lab1Spr08.doc” (no quotes, of course).
